A YouGov survey commissioned by Solicitors for the Elderly is commented on in the Law Society Gazette. 84% of respondents wanted a loved one to make decisions on their behalf in the event of an illness or accident, but only 7% had made an LPA. The SFE's chief executive said "Most people are completely unprepared for any event in which they lose the ability to make decisions for themselves."
